I knew it was time that I grew up and fought my own battles. And it was enough for me that he was happy. But now that I was over my jealousy, Rush was back to being my rock. He had always been there for me when I needed him-except for a few times when I was a raging bitch to his wife, Blaire. I held only one man in high regard, and that was my brother, Rush. I’ve never been in a car accident that serious (knock on wood!), but I know how grumpy I get when I’m sick, so the man immediately had my sympathy. He’s broken and scarred, wracked with pain, and mostly bed-bound. When the story begins, Matt has been seriously injured in a car accident. When I started writing this review, I had no idea how to rate this book. Will Matt realize too late that James is the only one who can rescue him from himself? The bond they form is forged in fire and ice, and the wounds they inflict on one another can only be erased by Matt’s admission that he can’t live without James’s loving touch. The two men clash from the start as James struggles to help Matt rebuild his shattered body and heal his crushed soul. ![]() Hiring nurse James Hayden to look after him seems like the best idea for Matt, whose fierce independence has been compromised by his injuries. A lot of times I'm going from a lunch to a meeting to the office, and I need something that works for different occasions and is appropriate for different settings. I'm rarely doing just one thing in a day. I actually do have a uniform just for day-to-day. It's all part of the past, trial and error.
